Politicians

Politicians

imperceptibly moving

some are just grooving

time is being shapen

by non entities mistaken

in their view of

themselves and the scornful

prism through which despite

the glare their right

cannot be questioned

leaving their mood to be sanctioned

and at best they remain

suitably and often subtly inane

Beauty in stillness

incomparably satisfying
as without trying
I reach double my
usual daily distance
not ending my
writing upon sighting
forbidden heights
and futile fights
with damaging debate
are flung aside
as I resuscitate
appreciation of
beauty in stillness.

My Country

my country

our country

is a country

continually at war

with itself not

with others as

we fight ourselves in

a system dominated by

self destructive paroxysms of

the paradox of frenzy

with history becoming present

and future meeting history

then all past as the

cycle simply repeats and

spins again and again

will there be peace

when there is no

fight left in us

or is the fight

part of our peculiar DNA

simply our unique

character and destiny.

the

the system

is

the system

simply

because too few

people

bothered to say

NO…

this human system simply cannot sustain this planet

this planet does not need

a guru or wizard

to tell us that it

simply cannot sustain this

human system we have

imposed on it without

consulting it or

assessing the chronic

symptoms that tell

a story of a planet in

decline and simply ravaged

by a system made up

by humans as they go along

in blissful ignorance

without any thought

of the future that

probably won’t be

able to sustain

itself

confessions of an artists’ model

i stand naked

while they draw me

all women

and one particularly

is in flirtatious mood

her eyes catch mine

in an unguarded moment and

she grins, her eyes twinkle

my prize possession is in her cross hairs

her unimpeded line of sight

and i know she will

win as i know she

always wins in this

unbalanced showdown my

body is not always my

own and often not subject to

the control of my mind

it is matter over mind as she

watches gloatingly the rising

result of her flirtatious eyes

and i well i am unaware of

how she feels about my

eyes as she wears panties.

meming

 i meme

i memed

i memed the meme

And then i memed again

she said that if i ever

memed like that again

i would have to meme

and meme again… memedly

A kaleidoscope shows a bewilderingly complex pattern, but it can be explained by a simple pattern and system of mirrors. Leon Lederman

Discrete Fragments

Discrete Fragments

A mass of images combine
then disengage
as the kaleidoscope
is turned.
Discrete fragments.

The mass of images combine
then disengage
as the kaleidoscope
is turned.
Discrete fragments.

The sequence obeys
no logic
or universal
form of reason.

Today’s doodling is
no better or worse than yesterday
or tomorrow.
What counts is
filling time.

If only there was an
accumulation of history or data to draw on but
there is no rewind or record button on this kaleidoscope.
